Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about deploying and managing token sales on LaunchPlanet.

What is LaunchPlanet?
LaunchPlanet is a decentralized launchpad where projects can deploy an ICO contract, publish metadata to IPFS, and raise ETH before exchange listings.
How do I launch an ICO?
Go to the Launch page, fill in token address, rate, cap, timings, lockup and social links, then deploy. Metadata is uploaded to IPFS and the factory deploys the ICO contract.
Do you custody my tokens?
No. You deposit the sale allocation from your own wallet directly into the ICO contract. You retain control of any undistributed supply.
What fees are involved?
The factory may charge either a flat deployment fee or a percentage (future). The UI indicates whether the flat fee checkbox is active. Gas costs also apply.
How is progress calculated?
Progress = (ETH raised * rate) divided by the token cap, expressed as a percentage. Values are pulled directly from on-chain contract state.
What lockup period can I set?
You choose any duration (in seconds). Tokens purchased are subject to that lockup before withdrawal if the contract enforces vesting logic.
Can buyers withdraw their funds?
Funds raised are claimable by the project owner via the withdraw function after conditions are met. Buyers receive tokens based on contract logic—no arbitrary fund withdrawal.
How are images and metadata stored?
Images and ICO metadata are uploaded to IPFS through the integrated storage client, returning immutable content identifiers.
Is dark mode supported?
Yes. All colors are driven by CSS design tokens that switch automatically when dark mode is toggled.
Which wallets are supported?
Any EVM-compatible wallet injected in the browser (e.g., MetaMask) via the thirdweb provider integration.
Can I edit an ICO after deployment?
Core immutable parameters (rate, cap, timings) cannot be changed after deployment. You can deploy a new ICO if needed.
What happens if the sale does not reach the cap?
Unsold tokens remain in the contract or can be reclaimed depending on contract logic. Raised ETH is still available to withdraw unless a soft-cap condition is implemented (future feature).
Is KYC / compliance handled?
Currently no. Compliance modules may be introduced later; you are responsible for legal adherence in your jurisdiction.
How do I verify the smart contracts?
You can verify the factory and ICO contracts on the relevant block explorer using the published source, then link the verified address in project materials.
